Resonance of Fate is a highly anticipated game from Tri-Ace. — Creators of Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile to name a few for those that don’t know — Unlike their previous games which have been published by Enix and Square Enix, this game will be published by Sega. Will this have any affect on the quality of the game? We’ll once the demo comes out. PS3 owners with Japanese PSN accounts will be able to enjoy this demo on December 22nd, right before Christmas, good timing! You can bet I’ll be checking this game out –despite it being in japanese — and giving you guys my opinion on it.

In the latest issue of Famitsu — a Japanese gaming magazine — it was announced the critically acclaimed Phoenix Wright series would be heading to WiiWare in an episodic format. The games are unfortunately ports of the DS games, so hopefully they can add some incentive for people to repurchase it.

For people who haven’t played the Phoenix Wright series on DS, this has to be a must-buy. The Phoenix Wright/Apollo Justice series is one of the most innovative new I.P.s on the DS, and should be sure to sell quite nicely. Hopefully it doesn’t lose the charm the DS version had.

From Software’s 3D Dot Game Heroes will be seeing a stateside release May 11th! The same companies that brought us Demon’s Souls are now coming back together to bring us another game that looks to be another hit! 3D Dot Game Heroes is an homage to the retro Zelda games like the original for NES and Link to the Past for SNES. From the look, to the way the characters move to even the weapons, the game is truly an homage to the beloved Zelda series. The game sports a retro-ish look fused with HD graphics to make a beautiful looking game. This game is only for the PS3, so all you retro junkies out there better start saving up for one because this game looks like it’s gonna be sick! You can bet this author is eagerly anticipating it.

A few weeks ago, Nintendo announced they were planning on releasing Wiiware demos in Japan. Well earlier today — which is the day that Nintendo releases new Wiiware and VC games — Nintendo without warning released demos for five Wiiware games, listed after the jump. (more…)
