TGS 2009: Japanese Morning Show Demos Project Natal

Categories: Events, News, TGS 2009

So, Japan being like a spoiled child and getting everything before us, a morning show in Japan — Mezamashi TV — got to demo Project Natal.  In the video above, it has them sampling a game called Ricochet (not the steam game where you throw disks at each other) and a controllerless driving game.  In the process, the woman (Yoko Shono) showed she clearly doesn’t have a driver’s license, and does jumping jacks to block balls from passing her.  The Microsoft rep (Kudo Tsunoda) says the current 360 controller “is a barrier to many people.”  But it seems that Natal is still a barrier for most people.  Can’t wait to see what they do with the PS3 motion controller and the Wii Vitality Sensor.
