A wide rash of game-crashing errors is spreading among the PS3-owning community at the moment, most of which can be chalked up to a 8001050F error code. This has led to a variety of unfortunate side-effects for those affected, including corrupted trophy information and an inability to access the PSN. When combined, those two issues prevent players from launching certain games, such as Heavy Rain , without being kicked back to the XMB. Rumors say this is affecting Phat model ps3s only. Sony said they are working on fixing this. To be safe I suggest everyone who has not turned on their ps3 today leave it off till this blows off.

Update: Sony has confirmed via twitter Readers/followers are confirming that “slim” units (120/250 GB models) are connecting normally. Everyone else with older models leave your ps3s off till there is a solution.

2nd Update: From Playstation.Blog:

“We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data.”

Monster Hunter Tri is coming to the West in early 2010 and for the first time Western Wii owners will be able to join the hunt as one of Capcom’s leading franchises makes its debut on the system. Today Capcom released a new trailer of the game showcasing the multiplayer. Looking forward to this game.

UPDATE: Yes Capcom has confirmed free online for North America and Europe as well as a release date. April 20th is the day of destiny. See you then.

On the Saturday the 23rd,  Capcom held a Tatsunoko vs Capcom event in the Nintendo World  Center. There was a lot of festivity and fortunately me and several Gamesandme members (Chris and Diglio) were live on the scene to report on this. (more…)

So Ryan reviewed Prinny on The Review Club this past Sunday and it convinced Alex that he NEEDED to BUY a PSP right then and there!

So what happened?

Alex bought a PSP (3000 model), Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, and Prinny: Can I Really Be The Hero? (his first NIS game… yes, it’s shameful) and
